  My brother was admitted to The Orange Park behavior unit on the second floor and from start to finish it was the worst nightmare a family can experience. My husband and I went to meet with the discharge planner Kelly on his second day and when we began to ask her questions concerning his medical care there as he is a lung cancer patient with pneumonia she left the room as she could not answer these questions and from that point on we never saw or heard from her again. They are the most uncaring group of people I have ever had the misfortune to meet and the fact that they are dealing with seriously mental ill people is a tragedy. I went to visit my brother and he told me some of his clothing items had been stolen and when I looked to my left at a family visiting a patient - the patient was wearing my brothers boxer shorts. I Asked the nurse and she said yes they had been stolen along with the sleep pants I brought my brother. He left Orange Park 7days later with out many items he checked in with and no one seemed to care. I think the entire staff have the attitude many people do about the mentally ill-they are a throw away part of society that are not worth the effort. This facility has no business caring for the mentally ill and the staff attitude is that they have 24 beds and not enough of the to do a minimally adequate job. The other thing is I asked every day to set up a appointment with a doctor and was willing to come in whenever they could set it us but they never could do that. I will end this tragic story by telling you my brother made it out 2 days and was admitted to Wachiva mental health center that was as big of a tragedy as Orange Park. This past month of dealing with incompetence and uncaring people has been a nightmare I will never wake up from. I would have rated Orange Park with a negitive Star had it been available ! Shame on this hospital for operating this farce of a mental health facility.

  I had a c-section on August 15th at this location and the folks treated me like family. I never had to request anything because they had me taken care of in every way. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. Thank you Orange Park Medical for a wonderful experience. Y'all Rock!!!! Love ya and God Bless.
